Why Your AC Is Running but Not Cooling

Additionally, a malfunctioning compressor or a clogged air filter can impede airflow and cooling capacity. Another potential issue is a faulty thermostat that doesn't accurately communicate with the AC unit, leading to inconsistent temperature regulation. Steps to Take When Your AC Stops Working

There are some basic reasons that your unit may have stopped distributing cool air. You can find out how serious your problem is with these steps:

Check the thermostat: Ensure that your thermostat is set to the cooling mode and the temperature is set lower than your current room temperature. Sometimes, a simple reset can resolve minor issues. If the display is blank, replace the batteries.
